| Supply List for Uppers There are a few things you may want to consider when purchasing school supplies as an Upper grade student. Middle school means master organization! Most students will have FIVE content courses and FIVE different specialist rotations each semester! Up to five different teachers, different rooms, a LOCKER!! We recommend separate notebookes for each class. Many students find it helpful to color coordinate their notebooks according to subjects; for example you could use a red notebook and red folder for science only, and you won't ever show up to science with your yellow math stuff by mistake.
In order to help improve study skills and organization, students will be working on scheduling their time and workload by using their new Barton planners this year. Please plan on a $5 expense per planner (distributed first day of school). Every day, in every class, students will write down their assignments or activities. They will also plan ahead for prljects, tests, quizzes, or essays. On Thursday evenings, students will bring their planners to parents to look over and sign. All homeroom teachers will be checking student planners for your signature every Friday morning. Please help your student master this important organizational skill.
As you are outfitting your student with notebooks, folders and pencils, please consider donating the following classroom supplies:
- tissues
- paper towels
- Lysol or Clorox wipes

- glue sticks
- paper products (plates, cups, napkins, plastic silverware, etc.)
