Upper Midwest String and Chamber Music Conference
July 20 - 25, College of St. Benedict, St. Joseph, MN. Tuition plus
room and board $540. Deadline - July 13. All applicants accepted.

Students are assessed on the first day and divided into orchestras and chamber music groups according to age and ability. Daily events - technique classes, orchestra rehearsals and sectionals, chamber music coaching. Evenings are filled with concerts and recreational activities.

Minnesota Youth Symphonies
Reading Orchestra, Mondays, June 22 - July 27, 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm. Gr. 9 - 12. $140, deadline June 12.
Composition, M-F, 9:00 am - noon. $235, Individual and small group instruction. Grades 2 -12. Deadline June 26.
Chamber Strings, July 13-24, M-F, 9:30 - noon, Gr 2-8. $195. For
advanced-beginner string players (e.g. Suzuki Violin Book 2-3). Students must read
notes in at least the first 2 finger patterns, know note names and

String Academy - August 10 - 21, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm, $450. Gr 7 - 12. Camp includes: orchestra, quartets, private lessons, workshops, master classes, alternative string styles (bluegrass), theory classes, field trips and concluding conert.
