Wow! This is my tenth year at Barton and my seventeenth
year as a teacher in Minneapolis Public Schools. I was at Four
Winds Native American School for seven years before Barton. I
taught for two years in a private school before working in the
district. Almost all of my years of teaching have been with
glorious fifth and sixth graders who are at the portal of
adolescence. It is an age that I love!
I seem to add another degree every ten years or so. I began with
an elementary degree, followed by a French degree, both earned at the
University of Minnesota. Five years ago I earned a masters in
curriculum and instruction from the University of St.Thomas.
Lately, I have been thinking about an ELL program at Hamline.
I have a husband and a son and daughter, both adopted from Korea. My
children are both attending the University of Minnesota in
Minneapolis. My husband and I are home alone with our cat Sophie
and dog Gabe. My passion is my horse Max (who does not live with
us). Check out the photos below.
