model. My husband and I live on a farm and have horses, chickens and cats. I
love to bring in stories of wildlife and the occasional chicken.
I love reading knitting, and training horses.
My classroom does two important service learning projects every
year. On Fridays we make and sell popcorn to the rest of the
school. Our proceeds are donated to charities at the end of the
school year. In addition, my classroom organizes the Barton Plant
Sale Fundraising event for the rest of the school. These service
learning projects help to connect us to our communities and give
students a chance to contribute back to their world.
