I'm Kristin Sonquist and been teaching in Minneapolis since 1989.
Wow! That's a long time! I started at Ramsey, as a
Spanish immersion kindergarten teacher! Next, I spent 12
wonderful years teaching grades K-5 at Downtown Open school- not all at
once though. In 2003 I came to Barton to teach first and
second grade- what a lucky day for me!
I have five kids of my own- four grown up boys and my third grade
daughter Amanda Jane. We have fun coming to Barton every morning
from our house in Crystal. We live there with my husband AJ, sons Jonny and Tom, two
dogs, Charlie and Margaret, and between 2 and 4 cats. Long
story.
We'll get to know each other well during our time together- to get
started, take a tour through our website. Thanks to Kevin
Kinneavy, Julian and Dylan's dad, who started our website and is
helping me learn to do it on my own.
