Middles' 2008-2009 Trip to Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center 2/12/2009 11:40 AM Over the last seven years, we have taken our students on a three-day environmental learning experience. This is the second year we're going to Wolf Ridge, which is located in northern Minnesota, on a 2,000 acre site overlooking Lake Superior. Wolf Ridge is a well-known accredited residential environmental school that services thousands of students each year. We will participate in classes about earth science, ecology, personal growth, team building, and Ojibwe culture.
Our trip is March 16-18 of 2009!
There is a great need for chaperones to help make this trip successful. In the past we have had support from our parents. If you are interested ingoing for any time period,l please let me know. For more information, you can logon at www.wolf-ridge.org. We're excited about being able to offer this experience to our students.
On a personal note...I took a group of forth seventh-graders to Wolf Ridge for five days when I taught at Four Winds Native American School, and I thought the staff and class offerings were excellent. The site, itself, is breath-taking.
Hope you can join us,
